About Us

Wampeewo Ntakke Secondary School is a government-aided, mixed day and boarding institution located approximately 8 kilometers from Kampala along the Gayaza road in Uganda. Founded in 1966 by Stanley Semwanga, a former teacher at Gayaza Central Primary School, the school was initially established under the Church of Uganda as a technical college to provide practical skills to primary school leavers. Over time, it has evolved into a comprehensive secondary school offering a broad curriculum.

As a Protestant-founded institution, Wampeewo Ntakke emphasizes moral and spiritual growth. Reverend Juliet Ssekamate, the school's chaplain, leads regular devotion services for students every Thursday from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and conducts fellowship sessions with teachers on Thursdays between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm

STEM Initiatives: The school actively integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into its curriculum, aligning projects with Uganda's National Curriculum Development Center guidelines

Community Engagement: Wampeewo Ntakke Secondary School encourages students to participate in community service, fostering a sense of responsibility and societal contribution.
